How Supplied: Ciprofloxacin
Indications: Corneal ulcers and superficial bacterial infections of the eye and adnexa.
Adult Dose: Corneal ulceration: Day 1, 2 drops every 15 mins. for 6 hours, then every 30 mins. for next 18 hours. Day 2, 2 drops hourly. Days 3-14, 2 drops 4 hourly. Max. duration 21 days.Conjunctivitis: 1 or 2 drops four times daily. Severe infection 1 or 2 drops every two waking hours for two days, then 1 or 2 drops four times daily. Max. duration 21 days.
Child Dose: Under 1 year, not recommended; over 1 year, as adult.
