Allergan recalls batches of Lacri-Lube Eye Ointment

Pharmacy Level Recall Product Recall of Allergan’s Lacri-Lube Eye Ointment, 5g and 3.5g pack sizes PL 00426/0041

Allergan Limited is recalling specific batches of Lacri-Lube Eye Ointment, please see affected Batch Number details below. This is because a small number of complaints have been received about the incidence of small black particles which have been found on or around the nozzle of the tube. The black particles originate from the inside of the cap and are formed when the cap is overtightened on the nozzle during manufacture of the tube. The particles may be introduced into the product at point of administration and may, therefore, get into the eye.

We are contacting those customers that have purchased product from us between June of last year and we would ask that you check any stock you have with the Batch Numbers below. Should you have any affected stock, please return this immediately and a credit will be issued against the returned stock.

Please do not return stock that does not have any of the Batch Numbers detailed, as this may incur a charge to redeliver this to you.
